Stage 1

Stage 1 moved their Music Video project forward with real confidence this week! In Singing, our students worked on expressive confidence through warm-up rounds before rehearsing solos with strong projection and character. They then built on last week’s work in How Ya Doin’?, learning the chorus plus post-chorus. The focus was energy, timing and crisp delivery. In Dance, they developed coordination in corner work and applied this directly to choreography, completing the same section with precision and performance quality. In Drama, Stage 1 explored storytelling through mime, trying activities such as climbing ladders or battling the wind before creating short silent scenes in groups. They also began shaping narrative ideas for their Music Videos, showing imagination and collaboration. It was a session that clearly advanced their skills while keeping creativity at the heart of their learning!

Stage 2

Stage 2 continued their Music Video project with enthusiasm and growing maturity! In Singing, the group used warm-up rounds to strengthen timing and expressive confidence. They then applied those skills to solos with clear projection and character. Building on last week’s introduction, they returned to The Lazy Song, rehearsing the first verse with a focus on humour and story. In Dance, Stage 2 refined leaps and landings during corner work before putting that technique into practice by completing choreography for the first verse. In Drama, students explored physical theatre through “human snapshots,” creating freeze-frame sequences that told stories through bold emotion and clean transitions. They then applied these ideas to their Music Video narratives, strengthening imagination and teamwork. This week’s progress showed how Stage 2 are already performing with greater confidence and personality!

Stage 3

Stage 3 took big steps forward in their Music Video project this week! In Singing, they warmed up in rounds to sharpen harmony and expressive confidence. They then rehearsed solos with clear projection and characterisation. Next, they built on A Night To Remember, exploring how vocal energy and emotion drive the storytelling. In Dance, Stage 3 refined leaps and kicks in corner work. They then moved into the chorus plus pre-chorus choreography, with close attention to stage presence and musical precision. In Drama, the group explored improvisation through “Yes, Let’s!”, then experimented with chorus work to strengthen ensemble unity. They also pushed their Music Video narratives forward, showing bold ideas and strong collaboration. It was a week that highlighted real progress in both technical skills and performance expression!
